Terms & conditions

The deal, in plain English.

These terms govern every engagement. They are written to be read, not to hide things.

The service

We write and edit career documents based on information you provide and briefs and any sessions we conduct. You are responsible for the truth of the source material; we are responsible for never inventing beyond it. Documents describe you, so you approve them before they are final.

Ordering and payment

Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. Payment is taken before work begins, through our payment processor; we never see or store card numbers. A tax invoice is issued for every purchase.

Turnaround

Published turnarounds are commitments we plan to, measured in working days from the later of payment or your completed brief. Where a deadline is critical, tell us before paying and we confirm feasibility in writing. If we miss a confirmed deadline the rush fee, where paid, is refunded.

Revisions

Bespoke packages include two revision rounds and Express includes one, covering refinements within the original scope. A new target role, a substantially new career story or additions beyond the interview are new scope, quoted separately and cheerfully.

Your content and ours

You own your information and the final documents outright, including the right to edit them forever. We own our methods, templates, checklists and tooling. We will not publish your documents or identify you as a client without written permission.

The guarantee and your statutory rights

The 90-day interview guarantee is described on its own page and forms part of these terms, including its limits: bespoke packages only, one rewrite per engagement which closes the guarantee, one claim per client in any 12 months, at least ten suitable applications with a simple log, documents used substantially as delivered, and void where source information was untrue. Acceptance of these terms at checkout includes those conditions. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law; nothing here limits them. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for anything else is limited to the amount you paid for the service.

Acceptable use

We decline work that requires inventing qualifications, falsifying employment, or writing documents for a person other than the client without disclosure. We may refuse engagements that ask us to breach this, with a full refund of unstarted work.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, and disputes belong to the courts there, after we have both genuinely tried to sort it out by email first.
