Questions, answered honestly

Is this the same content as the free tools?

No. The free tools are checklists that tell you what to fix. The guides are the method, the worked examples and, in the kit's case, 150 categorised questions with the marking notes. The free tools point at the problem; the guides teach the craft.

Are these the exact questions I will be asked?

No, and any product that tells you otherwise is selling you something that does not exist. There is no government-wide repository of approved interview questions. Each panel writes its own, for its own role, at the time. What does not change is what sits underneath: whatever wording they land on, they are testing one of the five ILS capability clusters. The kit prepares the evidence, not a script, which is the only thing that survives a question you have not seen.

I am an APS6 going for EL1. Which part do I work?

Both, and that is deliberate. Part One is the interview you have already had. Part Two is the one you are about to have. It is the most common step in the service and the one where people most often answer at the level they hold instead of the level they applied for, so we did not split it into two products and make you guess.

Will a guide replace the writing service?

For plenty of people, yes, and that is a fine outcome. If you have the time and the stomach for it, a $19 kit and a weekend will beat a bad resume. The service exists for people who would rather it was done properly by someone else.
